The invitation-only South American WCQ and South American Dragon Duel WCQ are the most prestigious Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournaments of the year. The first place finisher from the South American WCQ and South American Dragon Duel WCQ will be invited to the World Championship to be held in Orlando, Florida on August 20 – 21, 2016. The winners from both WCQs will receive paid travel and accommodations, along with a host of other prizes, and the title of “South American Champion 2016.” Runners-up will also receive exciting prizes. Everyone in the Main Event will receive a 2016 WCQ Game Mat and 2016 WCQ Card Sleeves as participation prizes.

Duelists who haven’t already qualified for the South American WCQ or the South American Dragon Duel WCQ still have a chance to participate during Last Chance Qualifiers. Those Duelists who have not yet qualified for the WCQ can play in Last Chance Qualifiers to earn an invite to the WCQ. This event will be held on Friday, June 17 beginning at 12:00 p.m. and end with registration for the last LCQ closing at 5:00 p.m. Dragon Duel LCQ will be scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. that same day.

Pre-registration for the South American WCQ will run from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17 and registration will continue promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18. Players will use their constructed Decks all the way to the Championship. Additionally, a full range of Public Events such as 2017 Regional Qualifiers, Dragon Duel Tournaments for players born 2004 or later, Ultimate Duelist Series Qualifiers, 3 vs. 3 Team Dueling, ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!, Win-A-Mat, Sealed Starter Deck and Structure Deck, Duelist League, Yu-Gi-Oh!
