Konami has just announced that it will be holding a special event called Yu-Gi-Oh Day on January 30th or January 31st. Yu-Gi-Oh Day! Is designed to bring Duelists from all over North America together to celebrate the long running Yu-Gi-Oh TCG.

Duelists interested in participating in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day event can do so at any Official Tournament Stores. Duelists can also look forward to exclusive prizes which are only available at Official Tournament Stores on Yu-Gi-Oh! Day. The registration fee for Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is set at $5.00 USD in America and $5.00 CND in Canada. Duelists who enter the event will receive this amount in commensurate prizing.

Duelists who enter the Yu-Gi-Oh! Day event will take part in Swiss rounds with no Playoff top cut, prizes will be awarded at the end of the final Swiss round. The structure for the event is as follows. 4-8 Participants 3 Rounds of Swiss, 9-16  Participants 4 Rounds of Swiss, 17-32 Participants 5 Rounds of Swiss, 33-64 Participants 6 Rounds of Swiss, 65-128 Participants 7 Rounds of Swiss and finally if the event has more than 129 or more Participants it will be 7 Rounds of Swiss.

The first place winner of the event after the last round of Swiss concludes will receive an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! Day full size game mat. Duelists who finish in the top 8 after the last round of Swiss concludes will receive an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Super Rare Token Card.
